Val Bure
Valeri Bure was drafted 33rd overall in the 1992 Entry Draft by the Montréal Canadiens. On February 28, 1995, he made his NHL debut in a game against the Islanders. On March 15, he scored his first goal against the Penguins' Wendell Young. That shortened NHL season, Valeri played 24 games and scored four points. In 1995-96, Valeri joined the Canadiens full-time and finished third amongst league rookies with 22 goals. In 1996-97, he scored 14 goals and 35 points in 64 games.In 1997-98, Valeri was traded with a fourth-round draft pick on February 1 to the Calgary Flames for Jonas Höglund and Zarley Zalapski. In 66 games split between the two teams, he scored 37 points. In 1998-99, Valeri improved to 26 goals and 53 points while averaging 16:11 minutes of ice time per game.

In 1999-2000, Valeri paced the team with 35 goals and 75 points. That year, he averaged 20:58 minutes of ice time per game. During the season, he played in the mid-season All-Star Game on a line with brother Pavel Bure. In 2000-01, Valeri scored 27 goals and 55 points and led the team with 16 power-play goals and 276 shots.

On June 23, 2001, Valeri was traded with Jason Wiemer to the Florida Panthers for Rob Niedermayer and a second-round draft pick.
